Process
Consultation
After you have contacted us about your renovation needs, an appointment will be offered with one of our experienced Design Consultants to visit your home to discuss your requirements, design and budget – no charge, no obligation!
Design
Following our consultation (assuming you don’t have your own drawings), if you choose to engage us, a full site measure will be carried out so we can start your concept design drawings. This is an exciting time as it’s the first time you will actually see your renovation come to life! Once completed we will email across. The following weeks are then taken up fine tuning the design until you are 100% happy. At this time, we will then send your project out to our building partners who will compete for your business by providing a detailed cost estimate based on the finish you would like.
Approval
Once you have approved your new design, cost, and builder an Order of Engagement is entered into. Further pre-construction plans and permits are carried out, including soil tests (if required) working drawings, engineering as well as a detailed 6 star energy report.
Contracts
Once the final site inspections have been carried out, your formal VBA fixed price contract is prepared outlining all your builders obligations for you in writing. Once checked and signed, a start date is locked in and your deposit is paid.
Construction
With most of our projects, you are welcome to remain in the property as all our builders adhere to VBA’s strict occupational health & safety obligations. As we believe transparency is the key to a successful build, we will be keeping an eye one all aspect of the build for you as well as have weekly update meetings to solve any issues that may arise.
Completion
